Odissi
Odissi is dance form from Orissa in India. However, I actually discovered it first in Perth Australia. This particular painting was done for a dear friend whom I used to dance Odissi with for many years. This was the first dance form that really introduced me to sensuality on a performance space. I find that when you dance Odissi, you really need to own all your beauty and indulge in it. The dance itself is so very infactuating. Personally being a Bharathanatyam dancer, I must say I had a passionate romantic affair with this dance.
